Ice Skating Rink

Residents of Newport have the luxury of enjoying their very own ice-skating rink in the winter months. Newport Skates is the only uncovered outdoor ice-skating rink in New Jersey and a huge attraction for residents, neighbors, and visitors.

The rink is open throughout the winter months from November to March and located at The River Market. Those looking to improve their skating skills can participate in drop-in classes, group classes, or private lessons. No need to head to Manhattan’s crowded ice rinks when Newport has it’s very own. Skate rentals are available on site. Grab some skates and enjoy a fun day gliding across the ice on a chilly winter day!

Rink Rates

General Admission: $8.00

Skates Rental: $7.00

Newport Residential and Tenant Discount: $4.00 with proof of Residential or Employee ID Card

Season Pass: $150 flat rate excluding the standard skate rental rate 

Group parties: $7.00 admission/$7.00 rental (available for parties of 10+ people)

 

Exclusive rink event:

$800 flat fee including skate rentals for a total of three hours 

Only available Monday – Wednesday (not including holidays)

Catering is available from Morton Williams

 

Hours: Monday – Friday 4pm-9pm, Saturday 11am-9pm, Sunday 11am-7pm

*All rink rates include sales tax

Lessons

Private Lessons:

Private lessons cost $50 for the first skater and $10 for every additional skater. Includes general admission to the ice rink but not skate rental. 

To schedule a private lesson, please email newportskates@icerinkevents.com for coaches and availability.

Additional Lesson Information: 

  • Skaters must be at least three years old
  • Please arrive 15 minutes before scheduled lesson appointment
  • Cancellations of private lessons must be notified at least 24 hours in advance
  • Lessons are subject to change based on weather or instructor availability
