PATH
Newport conveniently has an on-site PATH (Port Authority Trans-Hudson) station located on the property, making the 7-minute non-stop commute to Manhattan fast and easy. The Newport PATH station is located just a short walk away from every residential building and connects to the World Trade Center, Christopher Street, 9th Street, 14th Street, 23rd Street, and 33rd Street/Herald Square in Manhattan as well as Hoboken and Newark. These locations further provide access to the New York City subway system, Long Island Railroad, Amtrak, and airport. Also walking distance is the Hoboken PATH station, with the same quick access to Manhattan.
Light Rail
Newport is easily accessible to the North/South via the Hudson Bergen Light Rail, part of New Jersey Transit. The Light Rail system that currently services the greater Hudson and Bergen Counties, and Newport station is at the entrance of the Newport Centre Mall.
Car
If you need to commute to Manhattan by car, the entrance to the Holland Tunnel is right around the corner. The tunnel entrance is next to Newport Centre Mall, and the 1.5-mile drive to Manhattan starts can be as fast as five minutes, depending on traffic. Additionally, the Holland Tunnel provides direct access to US Routes 1 and 9, Interstate 78, Pulaski Skyway, and the New Jersey Turnpike to get you where you need to go.
Air
Newark-Liberty International Airport is one of the busiest airports in the United States and is one amongst three airports that service the New York metropolitan area. It is conveniently located about 15 minutes outside of Newport, which makes traveling by air convenient and comfortable.
Parking
Various parking garages located throughout the Newport community allow residents to park their cars on the property and in close proximity to the residential buildings. Parking permits can be bought on a daily or monthly basis. Many garages now feature EV charging stations!
