Halloweekend Events Near Newport!
Halloween is just around the corner! It’s that time of the year where the weather starts to cool, the treats start to come out, and things get a lot more spooky. There’s no better way to celebrate the holiday than going out in fun, different costumes for the weekend. Check out some of the events around the Newport area down below:
Halloween Party at Liberty Science Center
At the Liberty Science Center, there is tons of family fun for this Halloweekend! Activities such as the Spider Maze, an indoor pumpkin patch, and the chance to meet some animals. They also have a Halloween-themed laser show or the “Monsters of the Night Sky” program in America’s biggest planetarium with plenty of trick or treating!
Halloween Disco Dance Party: 70s Glam
Are you ready to get your groove on? On Thursday, October 27, get out your 70s themed clothing and dance the night away! You must be 21+ to attend this disco event. Also, costumes are required! The hosts recommend iconic 70s items such as bell bottoms, colorful prints, and oversized glasses!
Costumes aren’t only for us, but for our adorable little furry friends as well! This event sounds like an absolute cuteness overload and is free to attend! There are five costume categories: most creative, most funny, most adorable, best matching family costumes, and most outstanding costume. The winners will receive small prizes that will go back to your lovely pets!
Hosted by JCPD, this Trunk or Treat event is perfect to take your small children to participate in the holidate! Trick-or-treating and getting all of that delicious candy is one of the best parts of the holiday. This event will be held on October 27 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Jefferson Avenue between Summit Avenue and central Avenue. Be sure to show up for a good time!
Located in historic downtown Jersey City at the Newark Ave Pedestrian Mall, this event is perfect for people of all ages! The event will be hosted on Halloween day from 3pm - 8pm.There will be tons of fun activities and games such as a corn maze, face-painting, rides, pumpkins, sand art, music and of course, candy!
Join us if you dare for a Halloween scare! Ghosts, witches, and creatures of the night are invited to Newport Centre’s Mall-Wide Trick or Treat on Monday, October 31 from 3PM to 6PM.
