Newport Pickleball Courts

We're thrilled to announce that our pickleball courts are opening for the season in April, courtesy of the Newport Property Owner's Association. Check back soon for updates!

Courts are available on a first come first serve basis.  The courts are free of charge to Newport residents.

HOURS OF OPERATION: Daily, 9 AM to Dusk

LOCATION: 95 River Drive South

COURT RULES: 

  1. Paddle System – First Come, First Serve

    • If courts are in use, players must place their paddles in the designated rack or area; the next paddles in line determine the next group to play.

    • No holding spots or skipping the queue.

  2. No Challenge Court

    • All games follow the rotation system; there is no designated challenge court.

  3. 4 On, 4 Off Rotation

    • After each game, all four players must rotate off the court to allow the next four players to play.

    • If courts are not full, winners may stay for one additional game before rotating off.

  4. Game Rules

    • Games are played to 11 points only.

    • No win-by-2 rule; the first team to reach 11 points wins.

  5. Pickleball Park Hours

    • Courts close at sundown. No play is allowed after dark.

  6. General Etiquette & Safety

    • Respect all players, be mindful of players waiting to use a court, and maintain good sportsmanship.

    • Do not walk onto active courts; wait until play has stopped before entering.

    • Keep noise levels reasonable and be mindful of the residents of the neighborhood.

    • Pick up trash and personal belongings before leaving.

  1. Pickleball league play

    • Courts will be closed to the public during league games.

    • League staff will announce court closure 15-20 minutes prior to closing the courts.

    • League games will take place June – July every Tuesday evening.
