The Cottage, an artisanal market serving delicious breakfast sandwiches and other classic brunch fare, hosts Weekend Jazz from 2:30-6pm every weekend. This weekend, shed your inhibitions at the Caribbean-American Carnival happening right here in Jersey City. Stop by the waterfront on Saturday from 12-5pm for authentic dishes and delicious Caribbean drinks. The island-themed event brings a festive spirit and vibrant Caribbean culture to our city. You won’t want to miss the movies we’re screening at Newport this summer! Spread out a blanket and bring a picnic to enjoy the show on Newport Green. Voted on by residents, the theme of our movie picks is original vs. remake. The upcoming and final movie to look forward to will be Spider Man: Far From Home on August 4th. Movie Night at Newport begins at 8:30pm, so be sure to come early to snag a good spot!
Every Saturday, popular open-air food market Smorgasburg returns to the Jersey City waterfront. With over 30 vendors and enough outdoor seating for people to spread out and social distance, the market is a great summer weekend option. The Office of Cultural Affairs is proud to announce the return of SummerFest at Liberty State Park. This July and August, Liberty State Park hosts the summer concert series on Tuesday and Sunday evenings.
